Restore this autosave results in a blank post

  • When I try and restore an autosaved post with the built in wordpress feature the resulting ‘restored’ post is always blank. Has anyone seen this before?

    I haven’t tried with debugging enabled or anything yet because I don’t have time, but it is strange, I am just curious if anyone else has ever seen this before.

    I can get around it with simple copy/paste, it is just strange.

    Note: you won’t be able to actually see the site content as most of it is password protected.

  • It seems to work for me.

    Have you tried:
    -deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
    -switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
