Restore SQL… Says it’s not installed

  • In trying to restore a db, the following shows up on the blog main page:

    It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.

    But trying to run install says it’s already installed.

    Anybody here know how to correct this?

    Just in case someone else experiences this, here’s what ended up being my problem. The new host that my blog is on has proved to be a bit different than what I’ve used before. On several occasions now there have been issues associated with the time involved for the system to resolve. I’m not terribly versed at these things, and that terminology may be wrong, but the gist of it is, over night the problem resolved itself.

    But now there’s another issue. First, it didn’t recognize the password, but it did allow me to reset it.

    The second issue most likely warrants another thread…. unless I can find it in a search.
