• Last week our site got hacked and I deleted the entire wordpress directory from the server. The site has now been cleaned up and malcious code removed. So I installed the newest WP, connected it to the database but none of my post or pages are there. I can see them in the database though. I did change the username for the database and made sure it was updated in the wpconfig.php with the newest username and password (the database name did not change). I have recreated users within WordPress. How do I get these posts and pages back? I have backups from everyday up until it got hacked and I removed WP (godaddy was taking forever to do anything so I deleted the install).

    Thanks,
    Donna

  • Recheck if you have entered the correct database name, database username, database password and MySQL hostname in your wp-config.php file.

So I installed the newest WP

How did you install it? Didn’t you delete the entire old installation and reinstall a fresh copy of WordPress?
