Restore password not receiving email

This error means “your system can not sent de email”. Is your standard WordPress configuration sending mails? Clean Login uses the wp_mail() function, which uses the WordPress way to do it.

A solution that worked:

First: install and activate the WP Mail SMTP plugin

Then check: https://support.mailpoet.com/knowledgebase/lists-of-hosts-and-their-sending-limits/

Then check the settings for your provider and enter those into WP Mail SMTP plugin. If all is done correctly all will work again.

The actual reason why WP mail sending stops working is unclear, but this is a solution. Hope it helps.

You are right. “WP Mail SMTP plugin” works, and the reason is: your standard way to send emails through your WordPress installation (mainly and mostly due to your host) is not working as expected. This is not related with the usage/way/method that “Clean Login” or any other plugin does by sending email.
