Restore old tags?

I deleted a huge number of tags and a number of images after changing themes recently.
My traffic has dropped and I have a lot of of 404 errors.

Apparently these tags (hundreds) that only showed up in a small amount of posts (the majority showed up in only one post) were pretty relevant to traffic.

Is there any method to find and restore old tags to the posts they were associated with?
