Restore From Backup Add Other Sites Backups to Current Site

    Hi Team,

    I have been having issues when restoring a backup for a particular website using UpdraftPlus free plugin. Site is http:\\www.coolangattaseniors.com.au Backups are uploaded to my Google Drive UpdraftPlus folder. Whenever I do a restoration the restoration works fine for the site however all backups for the other WordPress websites are deleted from my Google Drive. The deleted backups for the other sites are listed in the current site I just did the restoration on. I did not click click Rescan Remote Storage link at any time. BTW, I find this feature potentially dangerous as it easy to manually delete the wrong backups. I would rather not have this feature.

    Anyway, I went through all the sites and refreshed the link to Google Drive from Updraft Plus. I had to manually delete all backups from each website and start over again. Today I had to restore from a backup and noticed after I finished all the other websites backups were listed. This time, the backups were not deleted from Google Drive. I manually selected all the backups not related to the current site and deleted the backups but not from Google Drive.

    Has any other users had this issue. This is a great plugin but this issue makes want to look for alternative backup plugin. Real time waster.

    If possible, please could you send us a copy of the latest restoration log?
    This should be available in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of the site via FTP.

    The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Pastebin and post the link here.

    Sorry it’s been a while since I posted back with issue with UpdraftPlus Backups.

    Problem: When I restore a backup with Google Drive, the backup works as expected but the backup process lists all the backups for other sites that have backups in my UpdraftPlus folder in Google Drive. Its’ the same as I if clicked Rescan Remote Storage link. BTW, I did’t click this link. In my case 35 backups for other sites minus their missing log files appear. Luckily, it does not delete the actual Google Drive backups. I have to manually select each non-related backup and delete it manually making sure I do not the select delete remote files in UpdraftPlus. This has happened on any website that I have run a restoration on. I am using WordPress 4.9.8 on all websites as I don’t trust latest Gutenberg Editor in WordPress 5.0. Too many issues. WordPress is becoming a nightmare to maintain. I can’t give you log file as it is deleted when the restoration process is finished.
