Restore fails every time

    I am trying out this plugin right now. I made a backup of my website and tried to restore it in a WP installation on localhost. Unfortunately the restore fails every time. I have already disabled PHP CLI checking/enabled SQL splitting on the source site before backup and on the destination site before restore. Tried it several times, but without success so far!

    The plugin really made a good first impression, but failing like this on the first test, not so good. Here’s my log:

    Hi @macurious

    Thank you, I can see that your changes in settings applied correctly.
    In that case, your error is related to your MySQL server, which can’t handle that amount of data in one query (inserted elements at once).

    You should be able to solve it easily by decreasing the value of query output.
    Modify query output here (“Other options”) section: https://prnt.sc/1trxucl

    On your, both sites change this value to 200 (source site and destination site).
    Once you do that, save and remake this backup.

    With newly created backup, try to make the migration once again. Also, with splitting enabled & PHP CLI disabled.

    If you can’t make a new backup as you e.g. lost access to your source site. Then please try to restore the backup on our testing service: https://tastewp.com
    This platform should handle your backup easily and allow you to make a new one with a lower query amount value.

    Hello, I found some time to test again. Unfortunately i can’t manage to successfully complete the migration process no matter what I try. With the settings you suggested the process got stuck at 54%, did something but extremely slow (waited over an hour) so I stopped the process. It seems that the plugin does not work for me. ??

    Could you please send me your backup via e-mail?
    I’ll optimize query output size and its size if possible then send you back new version that you can use on your server.

    If the error you received is the same, it shouldn’t be a problem to quickly fix it, that’s mostly related to Windows Server default settings of DB server.

    Hey, thanks for your offer to help, but don’t worry, it’s nothing critical. I was just testing the plugin, but already uninstalled it on both websites.

    It could be a great backup/migration plugin if it was more reliable. If that were the case I could even imagine using it as my backup/migration plugin of choice. I will definitely keep watching it.
