From the restore log, the restore was forcibly terminated by the web hosting server in 4 minutes.

The error ‘restore failed error unknown’ appears because the process was forcibly terminated but PHP did not record any errors, in that case, it is usually caused by some limits with the server.

So, it is recommended that you try to communicate with your web hosting provider to see what kind of server settings that is terminating PHP scripts in 4 minutes, then tweak the settings to allow more time for the restoration.

According to the restore log, the restore task run around 5 minutes only.

Please visit the doc and set up the WPvivid settings in the target site:

After that, you can restore the site content one by one:

Decompress your zip packages of your backup files if they are merged into a single package when backing up. After that, you will get the following zip packages:

1. wp core
2. wp content
3. plugins
4. themes
5. uploads
6. database

Then, upload them one by one to the target site and restore them separately.

Do not cancel the restore progress or refresh/close the restore page during a restore task until a successful or failed message appears, as the restoration is actually still running in the background.

After that, let us know if the restore task is successful.

Just want to let you know that we have released a new version of WPvivid Backup Plugin today – 0.9.83, where we have upgraded the backup and restore engine to increase the backup and restore success rate.

If you still need, you can update the plugin and try to restore the backup again.
