• We have a REST API set up across about 15 sites to send orders to our system and receive update stock levels. Overnight it stopped working. It is throwing up the error “woocommerce_rest_cannot_view” and status “401”. The Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are correct.

    Our developer has tried recreating the keys and also says that the api that doesn’t require authorisation works fine, but anything that requires authorisation doesn’t. A

    Any ideas?

    Hi there,

    If this happened overnight with no changes having taken placed on the WordPress admin side of things, the immediate thing that comes to mind is that something might have changed on the server-level: Are there any firewalls that are preventing API calls?

    Siteground has just moved us to the new interface. They are saying that nothing else has changed however. If it is a firewall issue, how do we get around this? Would the firewall as the issue make sense if other API calls that don’t require authorisation are working?
