• I have searched and searched, I think I was responsible for overheating Google London, but nothing seems to help. All plugins deactivated, 2022 theme active, and still I get “The REST API did not process the context query parameter correctly.” in Site Health, and only on this 1 site out of 8 in my hosting account.

    The thing is nothing actually appears broken, I’m busy setting up a Woo store on this site and all seems fine, it’s just this API warning that’s bothering me, because it could be an indication of something that’s about to go wrong, so, if possible I’d like to fix this.

  • The error message occurs when the REST API endpoint /wp-json/wp/v2/types/post gives a strange feedback. Can you check this on your end? If it goes from your browser, then it could be a problem on the server, for example if it can’t resolve its own domain properly.

    I checked a few of my sites, all return the same:

    {“description”:””,”hierarchical”:false,”name”:”Posts”,”slug”:”post”,”taxonomies”:[“category”,”post_tag”],”rest_base”:”posts”,”rest_namespace”:”wp\/v2″,”_links”:{“collection”:[{“href”:”https:\/\/www.juliesmithbelton.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types”}],”wp:items”:[{“href”:”https:\/\/www.juliesmithbelton.com\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts”}],”curies”:[{“name”:”wp”,”href”:”https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}”,”templated”:true}]}}

    The site above is the one with badly behaved REST API.

    Do I need to contact my host? (Siteground) It may be the server, because while all my sites are in the same GoGeek account, they are not all on the same server. They do this now since they migrated from cPanel to Site Tools, quite smart actually as it spreads the load each time someone creates a new site.

    Yes, contact the hosting support would also be a recommendation.

    Yes, I think so too. While I like to fix as much as possible myself, it appears I’ve exhausted all my other options. Looks like I’m about to break my record, more than a year of no contact with my host.
