REST-API Error when adding too much images on WordPress Gallery, Image Size Load

Dear Community,
i have actually found a “bug” which i have on several different wordpress pages using different server.

If you insert too many images (the number variates, one times it worked with 100 images, with 101 there was the error; the other time it was about 130 without any problems.)

When you are reaching the number of max images, after that you couldn’t select the Image Size in the Gallery Block settings. There is just the loading symbol for the select box, turning endlessly.

With the Developer Tools i could find this error:

Error: 502 Bad Gateway OR 500 Internal Server Error on an other wordpress site.

Any ideas how to fix this problem?

I had some older posts where there wasn’t the problem when publishing them, but if i try to edit them now, i get the same error.
This problem may have only existed for a few months.
