    Hallo Leute,

responsiveness is not working. tables on mobile phone look cut-off

for example I use this syntax:

    [table id=19 responsive=scroll?/]

Regardless if i use scroll, flip or the collapse function.. the table will not scroll neither collapse nor flip it will just stay cut-off.
    What should I do ?

    Hi,

ah, now I see the problem. You are using the outdated version 1.2 of the Responsive Tables Extension. Please install the new version 1.4 from a fresh download from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

dfuzion: Could you please also check which version you are using? And can you please also post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

that’s the version number of the core TablePress plugin.
You will also have to install and activate the TablePress Responsive Tables Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/

    After that, a Shortcode like

    [table id=4 responsive=scroll /]

    will work fine.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    wooo… I apologies. Didn’t see I needed that…
thanks that works perfectly now !

Best regards Tobias, and thanks again for your always fast support ??

Tobias thanks, the upgrade resolved the issue.
Why doesnt it notify me automatically inside wp-admin that there is an update of responsive plugin waiting ? How will I know next time when there is new update in future ?

    Hi,

the reason for that is that the TablePress Extension is not part of the official WordPress plugin repository. That’s why it doesn’t have the update notification.

Well, this is actually just have of the truth ?? The version that you are using now does have this feature, it’s checking for updates with the tablepress.org server. So, in the future, you should get the update notification.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
