Responsive WP functions and unused thumbnails dimensions
-
Hi, when I browse my site via mobile / tablet, instead of some images, a blank space is displayed – it looks like these devices in some cases require the display of an old thumbnail size, which I have already deleted and do not use. In the dekstop version, everything works correctly.
Here’s what I did earlier:
– I added a new dimension of image thumbnails generated when uploading images (410×230) – via the image file image.php and into functions.php.
– Regenerated all images via the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin.
– I set all the necessary widgets to the new dimension: Elementor article grids (Elementor Posts) and also all article galleries (WordPress default gallery) – now they use the same dimension.
– I deleted the old dimensions via Filezilla FTP.This is especially true for older articles, and even if it’s the same gallery within an article, some images load with the new correct dimension and some try to display the old dimension. In the settings of the article gallery via Gutenberg, I also see other dimensions that I do not use, for example there is a 3x item “Custom size” on which when I click on some images will not be displayed. I think this is a responsive feature of WordPress, because in the Chrome Inspect tool, after switching from mobile to tablet, there is an effort to display a larger size, which I also do not use.
I tried disabling all plugins except Elementor and Elementor Pro, setting a default theme, inserting the article gallery again, but it didn’t help. I see 404 errors in the Chrome Inspect tool, and here are examples of gallery pages (below the articles).Theme

I recently used the Jetpack image CDN, but it is already completely uninstalled. Please help.
