responsive theme – home page footer displaying differently to innter pages

Im using a child of Repsonsive theme by Themeid (now Cyberchimps)and since doing a parent theme update my homepage is now displaying the footer differently to the inner pages.
I should add that after the theme update, my modified homepage did not display all the extra widgets/widget areas we’d added, so I had to go into parent theme folder and delete front-page.php
That brought the widgets back, however now there appears to be a big padding above an empty widget area in the footer of my inner pages. The homepage is just fine. You can see it here. Navigate to any other page to see the issue.
