All, I am working to have the Meteor slide show be full width of my home page. This would be in place of the “Content and Featured Content” I do not have any experience with the coding or web building. If someone has anything to share please share where in the code I place this.

Also, I apologize if this has been answered before. I feel like I have been reading and searching post for hours. I tried a few of the codes and went through a few “Syntax Errors”

    Thank you – Lane

Hi Lane, Meteor Slides doesn’t support full width slideshows. The slideshows will scale down with responsive themes, but they always have a max width. But you can set a very wide width to achieve a similar effect, depending on your theme and the size of your slide images.

Can you post a link to the site you’re working on, or maybe a link to an example of what you’re trying to setup?

Hi Josh, I’m using the responsive theme and I have it working across the full width of the page. The problem I’m having is that it is not scaling down to the size of my iPhone screen. I just updated my installation of wordpress. Does that have anything to do with it? https://www.pinecreekdesign.com

Ok, I cleared the cache on my iphone and now it works.

Good to hear you got it figured out!

    Hi everyone,

I was able to tweak the CSS of Josh’s slideshow to work full-width on this site here. Take a look at the source code if you’re curious about how to do it. I’m creating a more involved tutorial and should have it posted soon, so keep checking back.

@mjacob14 You don’t really need to have a full width if the slideshow has a max width like that, you can just set it to those fixed dimensions. And if you don’t want it to scale with your site, just put the slideshow in a container that has the same height and width as the slideshow, and the slideshow won’t scale as long as the container it’s in doesn’t shrink.
