    Hello,

I am currently using tablepress to display a high volume of data.

    See it here: https://underneathibiza.com/ibiza-2014-line-up/

I’ve tried the responsive table addon however, because I effectively have two menus to sort the data: one on the Y axis and one on the X axis, it still doesn’t display it correctly on a mobile.(It may also be due to the fact that I’m using 12 tables within tabs!)

I’m either looking for a way to show the data properly on a mobile, or a way to add a ‘show desktop site’ link onto the bottom of the page for mobile viewers to click. The theme I am using is already built to be responsive, but it doesn’t provide this an option. I don’t really want to disable it and begin creating a mobile version from scratch.

I am still somewhat a beginner to WordPress and I would even be happy to pay someone who could help me!

    Thank you in advance,

    Carla

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Yeah, those tables are not really suitable for the Responsive Tables Extension, as that (by its approach) only produces good results in tables with small cells (like in tables with numeric data).
Unfortunatly, I don’t really see a good approach to make that table responsive — and the question probably is: What would you like those tables to look like on small screens, i.e. what should happen to the tables on a mobile phone?

I don’t know your theme, but a “Show desktop site” link is probably not possible here (not just in this theme, but in most responsive themes), due to how it is based on responsive CSS and CSS media queries.

    Regards,
    Tobias
