    Hi Tobias,

I have a single row table – you can see on the page in the attached link.

The short-code I’m using is [table id=11 responsive=stack /] – but I have also tried the flip option.

When the table is displayed on mobile the single row contents is duplicated.

I have tried with ‘The first row of the table is the table header.’ both on and off.

Please could you advise how to stop the row being duplicated?

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind Regards

    Mark

    Hi Tobias,

    Some more detail.

I have ‘Enable horizontal scrolling, to make viewing tables with many columns easier.’ enabled – but that doesn’t seem to be taking effect on narrow desktop/laptop sized screens.

For some widths – around Tablet size the table does seem to stack – but then when the site goes to mobile I see the duplicate row.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind Regards

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

My feeling here is that there’s another table plugin (or a theme feature) involved here, which creates these duplicates. Unfortunately, I couldn’t yet see what exact plugin it is, due to the CSS and JS minification that is done by the Litespeed caching plugin. Can you please turn that off temporarily? I should then be able to find out what’s interfering here.

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate your assistance.

I’m only using TablePress and it’s Responsive add-on plugins for tables.

I’ve disabled the caching, and greatly appreciate you taking another look.

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

    Hi Mark,

thanks! From what I can now see in the /wp-content/themes/x-child/style.css file, there’s a JS script called “jQuery Basic Table” being used.
This is loaded by your theme.
It might be possible to turn this off in the theme settings. Can you please check that?
Or, we can maybe unhook the loading of the relevant JS file. For that, can you maybe turn off the Litespeed feature of inline-loading (with base64 encoding) JS code?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

Thanks for taking a look – you were quite correct, it was some custom CSS that had been added to format tables before we started using TablePress – we’ve removed that and it’s solved the problem.

Many Thanks for your time and patience.

    Kind Regards

    ?
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
