Responsive resizing issue causes menu to disappear

    Hi,

    We love your plugin but we ran into a small glitch when live resizing the browser window on a desktop. As we reduce the window size the navigation switches correctly to the mobile menu with the hamburger icon.

    But when pulling the same window back up to a larger size the mobile menu doesn’t switch back to the regular navigation bar. Instead the navigation bar appears to be empty and far off to the left, partly cut off, is a white circle with some dots. How can we get it to work so it up-sizes and switches back to the full navigation bar?

    After refreshing the page the navigation bar loads again correctly.

    Hi @baddog_sf,

    I had a look at this and it’s the that is removing the menu elements. In fact, there is 1 error in the javascript console related to that.

    Check if you have the latest version of the theme and WordPress.

    Hi Rui,

    Thanks for your reply. I have the newest version of WP installed — version 5.5.3.

    Do you have any suggestions how to fix the error? Is it an issue with the theme — twenty nineteen? I have the same problem on another website that also uses twenty nineteen.

    I just noticed one more issue: the logo gets distorted on small phone screens.

    Try to active another theme. Regarding the logo upload a logo with the double of the current one in the Logo retina field.

    Hi Rui,

    Thanks for your help. The logo issue is fixed after uploading the retina logo.

    The window resizing issue remains. I tested the mobile menu in twentysixteen where it worked fine. The problem seems to be specific to the twentynineteen theme. It happens for both, the parent and child theme.

    Would you be able to troubleshoot and see if you can sort out this conflict?

    Hi again,

    I found this article about a twentynineteen conflict with Max Mega menu : https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/twenty-nineteen/

    Could this be the issue? I just followed the instructions and added the code to the functions file and it seems to work.

    Could you please review and let me know if this is a good solution or if you foresee any other conflicts?

    Hi @baddog_sf,

    It’s difficult for me to tell, but if it is working and it’s suggested by Max Megamenu I think it should be the right fix.
