    Hello,
I’m sure you have answered this questions hundreds of times, but I can’t seem to find the solution. I installed your plugin, and everything works great, but when I have my browser open to its full width, the menu does not appear. It only appears when I hit the break point.

Also is there any way to adjust the position of the menu when it is in responsive mode?

For example, the way my website is set up is:
In full width: My logo is on the left and my menu is on the right, all on one line.
Then in responsive mode: The logo is placed above the menu.
Right now when I minimize the screen, the responsive menu is still on the same line as the logo and overlapping it… Is there a way to position it below the logo?

I’ll be happy to give you my login information so you can take a closer look. Please let me know, Thank you so much in advance!

  • Hi xcblove,

I’m not sure what the issue is, the point of the breakpoint is so that it doesn’t show above this value?

If you want it to show on bigger screens or at a higher resolution then simply increase this value.

In terms of the positioning of the menu, you can either fiddle with the “top” option, or create some custom styling inside your themes style.css file to get it positioned and looking exactly as you wish.

    Many thanks

Thank you for your response Peter, I apologize if I didn’t make my issue clear.
Here is my website: https://www.blovesdesign.com with the plugin installed.
As you can see the responsive menu covers my logo when scaled down. How can I replace this responsive menu into the same position as my old menu (beneath my logo)? But without erasing the main menu when it is in full width…
I hope you can see what I am trying to accomplish with my website.
    Thank you!

    Hi there,

If you set the top value to 95 and right value to 48 then this has the effect of centering it under the logo when the page size is reduced.

Please let me know if this helps?

Yes I appreciate that, however, my main menu still appears below it. How can I replace my current menu with your responsive menu?
I’ve done it before, however, when I do this my main menu does not appear when it is in full width, only when I scale down. Does that make sense? I hope I am making it clear as to what the issue is… if not I apologize, and I appreciate you trying to resolve this for me.

Apologies if I’m out of order here, I only installed this (rather amazing – thank you so much to the author!) plugin myself this morning, but xcblove, you have put the correct value in the “CSS of Menu To Hide” field, haven’t you?

Hungrynow — Ahhhh, that is exactly what I needed!!! I completely overlooked that field. My apologies, staring at the computer reading through code all day certainly has an effect on my brain after a while. It’s perfection now! I appreciate that so much!!!

Thank you, Peter, for a beautifully, well-designed plugin!!

    Hi xcblove,

Great news you got it working, Ive had those moments before after days of coding, dont worry!!

Thanks hungrynow for jumping in and helping!

    Peter

What do you put in that field to get rid of the main menu?

    Thanks

    Tradedog —
Under the “CSS of Menu To Hide” field, insert your class or id of your menu. For example, my main menu’s class is defined under “.menu” so I inserted that in the field.
You can find this by looking at your theme’s style sheet or using the “inspect element” tool. (I recommend using Firebug via Firefox!) Hope that helps! If not, I’m sure Peter will be able to give you a better explanation! ??

    Thanks, that worked great.

    Much appreciated.

    Hey xcblove,

Thanks for helping out, it is very much appreciated!!

    Peter
