responsive images i rows

I have a responsive site and on some pages with 2 columns of images the second column will not load until you scroll all the way to the bottom of the 2 columns. Ideally I’d want the images in the second column to load as soon as they enter the browser window. I can only assume this is an issue with the responsive elements and I’m hoping I can find a fix.
Any help would be appreciated.
