    Hi there,
    I just updated to version 3.23 and noticed my home page was displaying as the default (Content / Sidebar ) page template even though I have it setup as full width / no sidebar.

    Returning to version 3.22 fixed the problem.

    Kind regards,
    JP

    Thanks for reporting the issue @japenz

    Can you set the layout from No Sidebar from customizer->Page->Layout->No sidebar

    If you still face the issue, can you please share your website URL?

    Hi Shachi,
    I did as you suggested but this setting changes the default page layout, not just the homepage layout.
    It seems the home page will only display in the default set from the customizer, regardless of what I set on the edit page screen.

    As I previously had the default set to match the majority of my pages (all but 3 and the homepage), I then had to go through every other page and change them… I also had to rearrange the widgets, but that was fine and was simply a matter of moving them from one area to another in the widgets section (I only mention it in case someone else has the same trouble).

    Is forcing the homepage to take the default layout intentional?

    I also noticed the homepage is now a blog page?
    I had to apply some css to get the margins back to how I had them.

    #content-blog {
        margin: 0;
    }

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind regards,
    JP

    @japenz @cyberchimps
    I just encountered exact the same problem. Also on the homepage there is a line which is only in posts, while there are NO posts in my website.

    To be honest: with every update of Responsive there happen rather terrible problems and that takes a lot of time, energy and frustration.

    Unlike @japenz, I do not know any css, so I hope you will update a new version that is the same as good working 3.22, which I use now.

    Best wishes from Magda, Amsterdam

    I’m having the same problem – my previously full width static front page is now displaying as Content/sidebar. I’m glad I found this thread as I had assumed it was something I had done and I’ve been poring over it…

    I don’t know enough to fix it so can anyone point me to the instructions on how to revert to version 3.22?

    Many thanks, Richard.

    Hi @rmwporg,
    Here’s the link to downloading the previous version responsive 3.22.zip
    You just need to uninstall the current version, then upload the downloaded version 3.22.

    You’ll only be able to remove the current version once it’s no longer being used, so you’ll need to switch to a default theme first.

    Here’s a guide for installing a theme: Install a Theme by using Upload Method from WordPress Admin

    Hope this helps ??

    Cheers.

    Hi @japenz

    Many thanks for the fast response. I’ve installed v3.22, switched over to it, and my front page is looking just as I want, once again!

    Thanks to this thread you have saved me hours of work trying to work out what I might have done wrong.

    Best regards,
    Richard

    @rmwporg

    You also can install the plugin ‘Roll back”, which can do the roll back (of also all your plugins) in ONE button click!

    Can you please check once by updating the theme to the latest version 3.24. In case if you don’t like the changes you can rollback to the previous version (3.23) by using the Rollback feature of the theme.

    Goto: Dashboard->Themes->Responsive theme

    You can see the Rollback option at the footer.

    Hi @cyberchimps
    Thank you for the update!
    The problem with the homepage seems fine now, I can set the website default in customizer without overwriting the layout set in the edit page area.

    I’m not seeing the rollback option though.
    I’m going to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes > Responsive theme

    But only see the ‘Activate’ and ‘Live Preview’ options.
    Does it need to be active to be able to rollback?
    I use a child theme, so Responsive itself isn’t active.

    Thanks again for your help ??

    Kind regards,
    JP

    Hi @cyberchimps

    I can confirm that the front page issue is now solved for me.

    Thanks for the update.

    Best regards,
    Richard

    @cyberchimps

    Yes!! 3.24 is GREAT!! Everything is normal again.
    Please, Cyberchimps, stick by this version for ever!

    Grateful greetings, Magda

    Thanks for confirming @japenz @magdigit @rmwporg ??

    We are glad we could assist you!

    Your feedback is precious to us.

    Can you please share your honest feedback about Responsive here?

    We are continually working on improving Responsive, and your feedback will help us to improve your experience.

    @japenz Currently, the rollback option is only provided to main parent responsive theme, and it is shown if the theme is active. We have already forwarded feedback about the child theme to our dev team will analyze the request.

    Regards,
    Team CyberChimps
