    Hello, I was happy to see a backup plugin that works with Google Drive. But I’m not seeing where to put the Drive info.

    When I try to simply generate a backup I get (understandably) a communication error. Where’s the bit I am missing? Thank you.

  • Hi there, as the message says, “The connection to the origin web server was made, but the origin web server timed out before responding”, so you had a timeout from the server, i would suggest trying this:

    1. set Compress mode to a lower value or zero in XCloner Settings
    2. in the XCloner Settings->System tab there are a number of range value which you can decrease to try and prevent the timeout, you should look at “Files To Process Per Request” and “Data Size Limit Per Request”

    I’m sorry, I changed my post…but I think your reply may be exactly what I needed after all .

    Giving that a try,

    New error after reducing as you advised:
    {“readyState”:0,”responseText”:””,”responseJSON”:null,”status”:0,”statusText”:”error”}

    What should I do now?

    Also in “Managed Backups” how do I know if a backup is complete?

    Thank you.

    Please check the Xcloner logger from it’s dashboard, do you get any errors there? To see if a backup is complete, there is a button in the right section of each backup filr to list it’s contents, what that does is read throgh the backup file to see it’s exact contents, any errors there would indicate the file is incomplete.
