    Hi Team,

I am asking you this matter by reposting as new topic.

First, please read the topic below and you have stopped replying.

I am not sure why, but you have closed this topic without any noticing.

Anyway, the main issue was that some slugs are displaying in Japanese language the URL will be long.

Words are month, list, event, today.

I finally found out that you have modified this matter.

Still, I did not ask you to encode the word. I only ask you to use English word for these slugs.

At this moment, some URL will be displayed as below,

    events/e69c88/2022-04/

    (Supposed to be”month/2022-04″)

    events/e383aae382b9e38388/

    (Supposed to be”events/list”)

There are so many websites which use this plugin and you will notice all these URL are still ugly and long to use. (Search with Google with “e383aae382b9e38388”, there are so many…)

All I asked you is… not using these two words in Japanese on slugs, replace it with English words.

I am now waiting for a year to solve this issue. I am sure that it is not a big issue, and I am only a Free version user, so I am asking you too much.

Please do reconsider this “ugly URL” issue.

Thank you for your support in advance.

Hi @shingen0810, we just released The Events Calendar 6.0.4. We fixed quite a few errors in this release, and it may have solved this issue as well. Please update and let us know if that fixes the issue here.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server and keep a working backup of your website.

Also, please clear any caching for both third-party plugins and server-side (if you have any). It would also be good to flush permalinks.

Let us know how it goes.

    Best,
    Abz
