[RESOLVED] Very slow laggy text/visual editor

I was having a problem with editing text on long pages/articles via both the text editor and visual editor. I have found a solution so I am making this post just for reference. The browser I am using is Google Chrome. I do not have the Yoast plugin (seems like the most common cause of this type of problem) and after I disabled all plugins the problem persisted.

My solution: I noticed that Google chrome has native spellcheck functionality and it underlines words that are misspelled. I disabled the spellcheck by right clicking anywhere inside the editor textbox and unchecked spellcheck option in the context menu. All lag was immediately gone. Typing (even when holding down backspace or delete) became lag free. Hope this helps someone else ??
