Yes. If you have FFMPEG installed on your server you can use my plugin to encode multiple resolutions of your video and the player will automatically add a gear icon that allows you to select from the available resolutions. If you don’t have FFMPEG you can make the different resolutions on your computer then upload them separately. From the instructions:

“If you want to make OGV, WEBM, or H.264 files available and can’t use the FFMPEG encode button, you can upload your own files to the same directory as the original and the plugin will automatically find them. For example, if your main file is awesomevid.mp4, the plugin will look for awesomevid-1080.mp4, awesomevid-720.mp4, awesomevid-360.mp4, awesomevid.webm, awesomevid-vp9.webm, awesomevid.ogv, and awesomevid-custom.mp4 as well. If your videos don’t conform to that naming structure, you can manually assign them from the media library.”

I installed FFMPEG in my server and it’s enabled in the plugin option and check the “Default video encode formats: 1080p H.264, 720p H.264, 480p H.264, 360p H.264” but still the resolution selection gear is not showing in the player. I selected Video.JS player as the Video Player. Please help!

It’s working perfectly. Your plugin is just awesome.

I’m having the same/very similar issue, but can’t find a solution.

I’m using FFMPEG, and I’m uploading a 1080p video and using the following encoding formats:

? Replace Original with [same resolution H.264]
    ? 480p H.264
    ? WEBM VP8

and I never see a gear icon to select between the full 1080 and the 480 formats, neither in video.js, or the mediaelements player.

    Any suggestions?
