• Hi,
I do not know if this is the right forum section for the topic.
I am not a programmer or a web designer but I substitued a programmer in managing a website made with WP, and owners asked me for a better view in different devices (they look at the site with a very high resolution screen and with high zoom level) because they see a cut layout, not the whole page.
I really do not know what to do and how to do it, also if I looked for on web and found big confusion (to me) about viewport, screen, adaptive web design and so on.
At the moment I am searching any solution (a plug-in or a complete guide) to do it.
Note: I am not the website creator and the theme used is Virtue.
I thank You all in advance for all suggestions and support.

  • You’re in the right place. First, I would look at multiple themes that are out there, some paid some free. Just google them. WordPress Responsive Themes. I’d say 98% of them are responsive now. They’ll take care of your clients. Choose a theme that is most related to your client’s business.

Food place or Restaurant – Choose a Food theme
    Online Fashion – Choose a fashion/beauty theme

You won’t have to know much about coding and neither will they. Use a block editor like WPBakery or Elemenator to build all your page’s design elements and you’ll be good to go.

    Thank You,
I do not know if they want I keep the theme used until today; I will try another theme and to not publish, so if there are no problems I can change theme and options. I hope find a theme useful for large screen.
If there are other suggetions, You are welcome.

All responsive themes target all devices. Desktop down to mobile.

The link you posted already has a responsive theme. What is the problem you are actually trying to solve?

I know it is yet a responsive theme. The problem is site owners requires to not see blank spaces when they look at the site, but they have very wide screens (1920X1080). I told them it is a problem relative to their screens and resolution/zoom level… they do not agree.

You could ask in the theme’s support forum for CSS to change the width.
Or make a child theme, but it sounds as if you don’t have the expertise.
Or use a different theme, but the search for “Responsive” won’t find what you want. I don’t think there is a good keyword to find what you want.

I know my theme does it, but I don’t know what to call it. “Full width” maybe?
