Resizing Featured Images

  • Hello,

    I need a little help resizing my featured image for this post. I looked in the functions.php file and found that the image size is 1200x385px. I’d like to change this to 737×385 but found that no matter what I change, the theme (Authority Pro by Studiopress) is doing a hard crop on the height.

    I can change the width but it appears to resize the height proportionately. Any suggestions on how I can change the dimensions without losing quality? I’d like to upload a new high-quality photo and have it automatically resized to the 737×385.

    It’s worth noting that I recently switched themes and all images with the 737 width seem to have inherited their sizing from the old theme. This is only an issue on new featured image uploads.
