• Hi guys, I’m sure I’m missing something, but basically I’m going through my older post and I’m reoptimizing the images that according to Google are too big. Once I re optimize the pictures I rerun the test but I get the same error. I thought that maybe Google is caching the files and it takes a few days to see the change. So I actually downloaded the two version: the file prior to being compressed and the file after compression. But they are the same size. Even if in the media I see the “optimized” message the pictures are identical. What am I missing here?
My compression is set to 89% and I always get the message that I saved some Kb. So it’s not like the plugin is not doing anything. It just seem to not affect the pictures in the posts.

    Thanks

So the image that doesn’t seem to be affected is the version used in the featured post. It happens in all the posts.
The file size listed in the media page after compression is not the actual size of the file. If I download the picture the size hasn’t really changed.
