Resized images don’t have alt attributes, and they can’t be viewed in the media library to fix it. Is there any advice from an expert?

Your link for to the graphic file itself, which is obviously a logo. In the output of your page, this logo has an alt attribute that also says something (“Calenda Logo FULL | Fitness, Wellness & Beauty Management Software”). This is the alternative text that is stored with the original image (and only there is this stored). From my point of view, everything is correct.

How interesting. Yes, when I look at the source (hadn’t occurred to check that) it looks correct.

Ahrefs is still saying Issues / Missing alt text for this image: https://calenda.fit/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/calenda-logo-from19C-300×72.png

I’m not sure why, because it looks fine in the source. How bizarre.

Images themselves don’t have the alt attribute embedded in them. It’s their usage in the HTML — ie the img tag — that’s where the alt attribute is added.

Perhaps the image has been used in some context — that is, perhaps there’s some img tag referencing this image — on some page somewhere on your site, where there’s no alt attribute.

But as threadi mentioned, you’re not telling us the full story of what your tool (Ahref) is telling you. You’re only providing the direct link to the image… and not the context where the image is used where Ahref is telling you there’s no alt attribute.

If you need further help with this, please provide the full text of the error message reported by your tool (with respect to this image only).
