    Hey!

I’ve downloaded MetaSlider today and I’m using it for the first time. I have a problem concerning the images size.

I’ve set up the size of the slide at 700×340 and add images at the same size (700×430).

The original image looks like this (it’s 700×340) : https://imgur.com/a/28g5qHO
But on the website, it shows different : https://www.atelierbeautezen.fr
It looks like the image is zoomed-in. Strange.

However, everything looks fine on the mobile version of my site. How could I fix this?

    Thank you for your help!

  • Hi @theotaket

You can disable cropping under advanced settings. But if your image is 700px width and the browser width is wider, the image will look blurry regardless. Better to use higher res images and disable cropping.

Hey @kbat82 , thanks for you fast answer!

I tried with a 3000×1457 image = the quality is nice but it’s still cropped. It’s not wide enough?

Does that mean that I have to used a huge image size (something like 6000x…) to be sure it will fit perfectly on every device?

    Sorry, I’m a newbie.

The image with the woman looks very crisp but not the other image.

You only need to have an image size that’s as wide as your page will be. 3000px is ok for most situations.

If you disable cropping WordPress will serve up the best image for the screen size.

I think you just need to replace the other image?

    @kbat82

So now, the 2 images are at the same size (3000×1457)

The pluging settings are like this:
    700×340
    100% width
    Image cropping: disabled

    And… it’s still cropped https://www.atelierbeautezen.fr.

However, as soon as I reduce my window to activate the responsive version of my site, the images are full size.

    Problem solved!
The slider was hidden by the menu… Just had to add some padding at the top.
