    I’m trying to work out how to reship orders in Woocommerce.

    I understand that when I fulfilment my order, I mark it as complete. This is effectively the shipment date of the order. (There are various plugins that enable adding a tracking number, if the item is sent tracked)

    However, what if the customer does not receive their item (ie: it gets lost in transit)? How do I do a ‘reship’?
    I can’t mark it as ‘complete’ again, as it is already complete.
    Somehow I need to let the Woocommerce inventory needs to know that the product was sent out twice, and there needs to be a log of both shipment dates (and possibly both tracking numbers) on the order comments.

    Any suggestions?

    For these cases, I would just utilize manual order notes and manual stock reductions. You can click on an item in the order and reduce stock: https://cld.wthms.co/nFTLGp. This will add an entry to the order notes as well.

    Then you can use both private notes and send an email to the customer from this area: https://cld.wthms.co/xEBEyh

    Thanks. I can see the stock reduction note on the order now.

    I’m just surprised that there isn’t a plugin to log separate shipments per order, with shipment details, including tracking numbers where required, like on Magento. But I guess I can put all the info in the notes, and enter the tracking info of the latest shipment in one of the various tracking plugins, updating it if/when I send out multiple shipments. Unless you know of a better way?

    I don’t know of another way unfortunately. There are third party fulfillment services that have this sort of functionality built into them though, but if just working within WooCommerce then the above is the best way by default.
