• Hi,

We are re-developing an existing website using WordPress. However, the client is unable to provide WordPress credentials nor FTP details from the previous development team. I have gone through the codex for resetting password but they all require username/password or FTP details or database access.

Could you guide me if there is any way we can obtain the credentials? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    So to confirm:

You don’t have FTP or access to the server
You don’t have WordPress credentials or even a username for any user
You don’t have access to MySQL

You are pretty much out of luck, if your client hasn’t got any of these, then without resorting to using a vulnerability in the software you won’t be able to gain access.

I’m afraid the client is going to need to gain at least some sort of credentials either from the developer or the host. As currently they do not “control” the site in any way.
