Reset to basic Astra template from starter template

    Hello,

    I’m using the Life Coach starter template. I was thinking to change back to the free default Astra site template. The reason for that is, that I’d like to be able to have more freedom in customizing the look of the site I’m creating. To be honest, I’m not even sure if there is such a thing as a default Astra theme, or how it looks. Could you give me instructions on how to reset it? The site-building is in progress. I’ve already made changes, installed plugins, added content, menus, woo-commerce store etc.. Is it possible to make the switch back (and forth, if necessary) without losing anything, in other words keeping everything as it is using the basic site template? Thank you for your help in advance!

    Hi @thetachap,

    Yes, you can remove all the pages and posts that were part of the starter template. You can simply click on any starter template and then click on the import complete site button.

    Then a popup will appear from where you can click on skip and import button.

    Now here is the tricky part, you need to check only the first option, i.e., Delete the previous imported site. Here is the screenshot that would help: https://bit.ly/337XbDn And hit the import button.

    It will remove all the pages and posts that were previously imported from the Astra starter template library.

    Only the pages that were created from scratch will not be removed.

    Hi there,

    I am also using Astra’s Life Coach template. How do I edit the text in the Contact Form in the footer? It doesn’t seem to allow it.
