• I’m working on a website where I’m using a certain theme and when I use the table block, the table automatically get a certain style, which is not what I want
    This is the default look:

And this is the look on this website where you can see that there’s no borders and it’s automatically applying that styling of alternating rows’ colors (white, gray, white, gray, etc):

Is there a way to reset this behavior either globally or on a block by block basis?

I’ve already emailed the theme’s author, but I was wondering if there’s a way to go around this, regardless of the theme?

    Thanks!

  • If the appearance of blocks in the editor is different without your own intervention, it is related to the theme. Writing to the theme was the right way to go. If necessary, there is also a support forum for the theme where you can ask other users about it and get feedback faster.

Thank you @threadi for the reply.
I just started a new thread on the theme’s support forum, thanks for the tip.

I was wondering if there was a plugin or something like that that can be applied to any theme, something that would just ignore all styling other than the default WP’s style, if that makes sense?

Sometimes there is something like that, but often it depends on the theme, which is still unknown to me. Further tips on this are therefore not possible here.
