Reset Roles to WP Default

    Hello –

    This plugin is conflicting with another and we’re trying to set all User Roles to their “defaults” – but even after deactivating and deleting this plugin, there are still settings from this plugin in the database which may be causing the conflict. However, we won’t know unless we can set everything back to default.

    Need a way to set all roles back to default capabilities and remove database entries left behind from this plugin.

    Hi,

    This plugin do not create any database and / or set any permission on any custom table. It is used WordPress default permission system.

    On plugin install, this plugin do not change roles capabilities.

    If you change any permission to specific role and this plugin currently do not provide any mechanism to get it back to default.

    if you want set WordPress built-in roles to default, then I can provide a you file to export. Please let me know if you need it.

    I’ve prepared the file, how would I share it to you ?

    Also would like to request before import the file take a backup of current capabilities from export options

    The reason I had asked is that we are using the Ultimate Client Dash plugin which allows for setting permissions for a “client” role that it creates and in the “Client Permissions” tab, it still shows permissions settings from your plugin after it has been uninstalled:

    So these are being “saved” somewhere because they are getting picked up by this plugin.

    I have shared the file.

    By default after uninstalling plugin, WordPress show capabilities related to that plugin. But it is possible to remove capabilities in uninstall hook.
