• Hello,
for the last few days I was working on a new project, and for testing purposes, I have imported posts to my site from another WordPress site using export/import XML.
Although I just have noticed that the incremental post id is now 18000+ and I only have 10 pages and 10-15 posts (all tests posts are now removed, but most of my pages was added after and its IDs are 18000+ too)

My question is: Is there a clean way to rebuild the site’s pages/posts/contact forms and media so that the next post that I create to have a lower ID.

PS. My database engine is InnoDB, so I cannot set the incremental ID to lower than the minimum at the moment…

Why do you want to do this? The IDs are for internal use and have no value, SEO or otherwise. Even with an ID of 18,000 you have room for a couple billion more posts.
