Reset password Url issue [Web synthesis]

  • Hi,
    I have read all the threads about the password reset link not working. I have contacted Web Synthesis waiting to hear if there is anything they can do on their end.

    My problem however is a little different. The link i get in the reset password email points to a 404 when the user is logged OUT but i have tested it when I am logged in and it works. There is no point though, as someone who forgets their password isn’t logged in.

    This is the link in my email:

    To reset your password, visit the following address: /www.mywebsite.com/?page_id=5104&key=aarQqo8K3ylTPAxTV3t5&login=myusernamegoeshere

    So, that’s the right page. Can you try it with permalinks on?

    Hi Jeff,

    Permalinks have always been on (if you are talking about settings>permalinks). I tried to resave the permalinks settings and it’s the same issue.

    Hi Jeff,
    Further to my other msg above about permalink already being enabled, I have disabled plugins, disabled TML and even changed theme. The only time reset pwd works is when TML is disabled.
    So I can confirm there is an issue here with TML and it isn’t theme related

    I don’t see how permalinks can be enabled but it’s getting a URL that isn’t a permalink.

    Make sure the page isn’t marked as private or in the trash.
