• Hello,

I use file upload in a form, and I want to be able to cancel/reset a file selection on an <input type=”file” /> field prior to submitting the form.

    Is that possible ?

    thanks

  • Does anyone actually respond to these? I have had a help question for over a week with NOTHING!!!

Actually, if you browse again, choose nothing and cancel, that empties the field
    BUT
that works ONLY with chrome desktop, but not with FF nor Safari and obviously not with smartphone

and that’s why I’m looking for a solution, because it’s not possible to explain visitors: “If you change your mind and do not want to add an attachment, so click again on Browse, then choose nothing, but only if you use Chrome on desktop. If you don’t use Chrome, you could install it, or refresh the page, so you will have to re-enter all the information…”… that’s not working

So anyone have a solution to empties a file field ?

I’m also interested in this topic.

If I would like the visitor can upload maximum 5 files, I can not use the module “multiple file upload” because I can not put any limit on the number of the files.

Then I’m using “File” and conditional fields.
If file01 not equals "Empty" then show file02

If the visitor changes his mind about file01 and can not cancel it, file02 will stay and maybe with a choice he already did…

It would be very useful to cancel/reset a field “file”

    Thank you!
