Reserve this space

    Hello,

    It’s likely something simple, but I’m just not understanding what the “reserve this space” feature/function is. Could you point me to where I can better understand what this tickbox does?

    thanks for reaching out.

    When the “reserve this space” option is checked, the container around the ad gets the sizes entered into the “width” and “height” fields.

    This solves the issue that some ad formats from networks are collapsed until the ad is loaded from the ad server. When the ad content suddenly appears, the whole page might jump a bit. If you pre-reserve the space then this behavior is less annoying to visitors.

    Hello Thomas,

    Thank you for the detail. Maybe just coincidentally, but in applying this, it also seems to allow me to add some styling which resolved a layout issue I had.

    Hi majecdad,

    as soon as you add an option in the Layout/Output settings of the ad, a wrapper is created around it. There is always a wrapper with a unique ID if you used a placement.
