Reservations pending do not show in front end

I’m using Pinpoint Booking System Pro but I notice that bookings made by users of an availability calendar but are still pending approval, don’t show in that calendar either to themselves or other uses. Isn’t this confusing?
Or is there a switch I have missed in settings somewhere? Otherwise won’t someone else attempt to book the same dates – inevitably leading to disappointment?
