    Hey all.

    Our jobs board has been working well until the last few weeks when new users have been creating accounts and posting jobs which are not requiring admin approval on the backend.

    This hasn’t happened before, and the checkbox requiring admin approval on the backend is still checked. There don’t appear to be any differences in the permissions between these new users and other users who still submitting jobs for approval.

  • Maybe try unchecking it, saving settings, and check it and save the setting again? Just to make sure? Odd that it would be bypassing approval .. did you recently install any WP Job Manager addon plugins? Or update any plugin or themes?

    Thanks for the reply! I’ll try the check-uncheck-check to see if that triggers anything.

    We updated to Version 1.33.4 of the plugin about three weeks ago, which roughly corresponds to the first time this happened.

    Hello!

    We haven’t noticed it happening again, but it was only happening for a few, new users who haven’t tried to submit new jobs again.

    We just had another user yesterday post a job from the frontend that made it to the board without approval, so it appears this issue has not been fixed. Bummer!

    I noticed that the site mentions a cost for the listings; are you using one of our paid add-ons, such as Simple Paid listings, or WooCommerce Paid Listings? If so, please contact us here for further support, as the issue might be with one of those addons:

    If you’re not using those add-ons, what other plugins do you have active, that are involved in the job submission flow?

    Hi there,

    We use a different platform to invoice and process payments, so no add-on for us. We use the most basic version of the WP Job Manager and have been really happy with it.

    None of our other plugins are directly involved with the job submission process, but we have plugins that help populate that page- plugins that affect the theme, an ads plugin, and other content-related plugins (like Related Posts or sidebar widgets). Happy to name some off if you think that will help.

    There is the MEMBERS plugin.
    It allows you to modify or change the rights of the different roles of WordPress.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, I can’t think of anything specific that would be causing this. It’s most likely another plugin, but I can’t imagine why it would happen only occasionally. Could you list all your plugins, out of curiosity?
