• The new version of Post Page Associator plugin occupies almost 30% of my Dashboard with the authors “Request for Payment”!
When I click the “no thanks” link -the Plugin is DE-Activated!

This is not open source and should be removed from www.remarpro.com. This PLUGIN REQUIRES PAYMENT or it deactivates.

The Author’s other plugins also come with the penalty of lost real estate in various admin screens- jer!
Mr. H- you are delightfully talented and create useful plugins but you need to decide if you are going to return something to the community or LEAVE wpress.org!

  • And how did you test this useful plugin without Payment? To your statement it is impossible to use the plugin!? ??

In earnest: Of course the Plugin is free for use (GPL) and it works great. ??

If you do not like donation buttons in your plugins buy your plugins somewhere and LEAVE www.remarpro.com. Take a look: https://wpplugins.com/plugin/247/associated-posts-pro/. There are no donation buttons anywhere! ??

I absolutely agree with gobigreenwood on this one. Either it is a free plugin or it is something you pay for – this blackmailing in-between-thing is not acceptable. Please make up your mind, Dennis Hoppe!

Of course I will have to rate this plugin very low in order to warn others about this. Yes, it does work, but since the upgrade to latest version it messes up the Control Panel in an unacceptable way. Needless to say am now looking for alternatives.

GPL means legally you’re FREE to take the plugin and fork it to NOT require the adverts. It does NOT mean the plugin has to be free of cost.

While you may feel it’s gauche and reprehensible to have blatant advertisement on a plugin, so long as it’s on the backend (and isn’t causing issues with the functionality of WP), there’s no legal problem with it.

Yes, it does work, but since the upgrade to latest version it messes up the Control Panel in an unacceptable way.

THAT is a legit complaint, but not something that will get the site yanked from the repo. Make a new topic for how it breaks the dashboard, though, as the plugin dev should know.
