    Howdy @dvbels,

Thank you so much for sharing this sentiment!

If you look at the URL for your review, it ends in /requires-jetpack-4/—which definitely means that you aren’t the first person to share this feedback with us.

We are working with our engineering team to remove the standalone Jetpack requirement for WooCommerce Shipping & Tax. If you’re into the technical aspect of this, you can review this pull request that covers some of the initial exploration of removing this requirement.

We don’t have a firm timeline for this change, but I know that this is something that a lot of folks have been asking for. I hope that it will ship (pun intended) soon ??

    Hello @dvbels,

I wanted to let you know that with the 2.4.0 release of the WooCommerce Shipping & Tax plugin, Jetpack is no longer required. Like our WooPayments plugin, WooCommerce Shipping & Tax is now able to connect directly to WordPress.com on its own for the hosted services to work.

We would be really happy if you could give the plugin another try and, if you find it makes sense, update your rating here. ??

Thanks for your feedback and for being part of the WooCommerce community!
