    This plugin works well, except it requires a cart session to be established first, or the coupon will not be added. This makes it far less useful if a user needs to visit my site, add a product to the cart and THEN click the coupon URL. Is there any way to make it work without a session?

    Hi @mikesv-one,

    I understand that this is rather late, but if you or anyone else is interested – this is now fixed in the latest plugin v1.2.3. To make the coupons work for the guests with an empty cart, you need to enable the new “Force session start” checkbox in plugin’s settings (in “WooCommerce > Settings > URL Coupons”).
