Hi there, I am seeing an issue where required field labelled Destination: * (which has visibility settings to show based on Departing From: * selection) does not always show in the submitted email notification and the field shows as blank when we receive the booking form via email. It seems only the destination field is blank even though it is required. It seems to be totally random and not for a specific destination option.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ash3347,

We’ll need to check the form settings to have a better idea of what might be the source of theissue.

Could you please share the form export so that we could give a closer look and see what might be causing the issue?

Please check the following doc on how to export a form:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

You can share the export file via Google Drive, Dropbox or any such cloud services in the following reply.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin

    Hi @ash3347

    Thank you for the form.

I imported it to my lab site only using Forminator and did different tests but I couldn’t replicate the issue, had you noticed if the problem happens on a specific browser or selected option?

    Best Regards

yes, only on Destination: * (must select departing option first)

Not sure about browser. I have tested and can’t replicate as well. However, of 10 submissions a day around 3 or 4 will have empty field for destination.

    Hi @ash3347

    Thanks for response!

I have also imported your form to my test setup and I did more testing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t replicate that too.

    I’m wondering though:

    – you mentioned e-mail notifications but what about “Forminator -> Submissions”? is the destination stored correctly there or is missing from there too?

    – maybe we could check if there’s any specific browser involved – you could add a field of type “hidden” to the form and set it’s “Default Value” option to “HTTP User Agent”; a user agent string usually includes at least a browser (sometimes points to OS as well) – so if you’d notice that the same one repeats over all the “broken” submissions, that’d be some clue on what to check next.

    Best regards,
    Adam

Hi Adam, yes missing from submissions as well. do I just enter exactly as you entered? “HTTP User Agent”; or take the quotations out?

    Hi @ash3347

There’s no need to “type it in”. Once you add a hidden field to the form, just select the HTTP User Agent option from the drop-down list under “Default Value (Optional)” setting of the field:

    2022-06-15_16-40-32

You can give any label to the field but as long as you select this option it will store user agent string in submission and that should help identify what browsers/OS are involved in the case.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hello @ash3347 ,

We haven’t heard from you for some time now, so it looks like you don’t need our assistance anymore.

Feel free to re-open this ticket if needed.

    Kind regards
    Kasia
