I have a problem. Plz help me.

I used Woocommerce. Now i need filter product by city of vendor.

I think i need creat a attribute as: City of vendor, when the vendor create a product, he will write the city of vendor.

Now i want when the vendor creat a product, if he not add the attribute vendor of the city, it’s warn “Plz insert the vendor of city” (The city of the vendor if required).

Certainly the vendor of city only require with the vendor when he not fill the city, not with the custommer when he buy the product.

Plz help me. Thank a lot.

  • Hello Batdau,
I do not seem to understand what exactly you are trying to achieve, do you mean you will like others to be able to create a product in your woo-store, or you are trying to create products that will be divided across buyers from different locations.

For example: Product A,B and C will be available to buyers from Nyc, and product F,G and H will be available to only buyers from Texas..

Kindly clarify your intention as well as provide us with possible urls to your page.

    Thank you very much.

OK. Follow the steps below and you can have yourself just what you need.

    Screenshot with steps:- https://snag.gy/Opxmb7.jpg

    Step 1:
    Create a list of attributes
    Go to Products –> Attributes,

    Step 2:
Add new attributes (The name you give the attribute here is what the user sees from the frontend)

    Step 3:
Under the “Term” section of the Attribute you just created, click on configure terms.
Here you have to name the different cities you want to be involved and then save individually.

Afterwards we go to step 4:
Select the product you want to add the city attribute to, then go to attribute, select the attribute you just created (in my case I set location as the attribute) afterwards click on add.

All you have to do then is to select Visible on product (if you want your customer to see it under Additional Information section of the page), afterwards, select the city you want the product to be found under..

We have just added the city attribute to our product, what we need now is to make the cities visible to the shopper, all you have to do is visit your widgets area, search for Filter by Attribute product by attribute and then add it to where you want it to be (i.e your shop sidebar) and you are set to go.

Hope you have a smile on your face now ??

    Goodluck
