They do that thru WordPress itself, SAC has nothing to do with it. Look at the WP General settings, scroll down a bit and you will find an option to enable user registration. When that is enabled, any visitor can visit your WP Login Page and register with the site.

Thank you so much for that Jeff, will have a look for that setting ????

Also just FYI there are many, many plugins that you can use to customize how the user registration and login, etc. works. Just make sure to stick to the WP Plugin Directory here at www.remarpro.com when choosing your plugins.

Jeff you’re a star buddy????. Any recommendations for a plug-in to use for login to my website?

It really depends on what you’re trying to do, context, goals, etc. In general you do not need any plugins, as WordPress can log in, register, and much more all by itself. But if there some specific way that you want to customize the log in experience, then good news there most likely is a plugin that can do it.

Some possible ideas include things like adding captcha/antispam protection, or maybe styling the page appearance, or adding a custom welcome message, and so forth. One of the great things about WP is that there is a plugin for almost anything you can think of.

But you don’t want to just install a bunch of plugins because you can; instead, always stick with default WP functionality for as much as possible. Then use plugins to add any functionality that may be needed beyond that.

Just fyi: I wrote a book that teaches this approach called The Tao of WordPress, if you want to learn from the ground up. Lots of other great books and resources out there as well, check ’em out.

Jeff, defo going to get your book buddy. As I said this is my first website I’ve developed. After watching a handful of WPbeginner tutorials took me 1 night to complete the website.
Regarding SAC, is there a sound and number notification for mobile phone users if someone sends a message?

    Hi @rosscos78,

Yes the plugin provides browser notifications if enabled in the plugin settings. Look for the “Notifications” section and configure your options.
