require get_template_directory() and customizing

Hi!
I try customize Dazzling’s template and put a file in child theme same path like in the parent. But it don’t work, because in Dazzling functions.php used
get_template_directory()
instead of
get_theme_file_path ()
Can You in next release update theme this way?
