Request – Use OTP for login as well

    hi,

    Thanks for this amazing plugin.

    Is there any way to extend this to allow login via OTP email as well?

    The customer experience will be uniform as they would be used to email OTP.

    Please guide if this can be achieved by some code snippet until you add this in the plugin.

    This seems to be exactly what I was requesting. Where can I find more info on this?

    Hi, yes, in the premium version, we have the option to log in to OTP based on conditions. You can view more details on our documentation here.

    I could not find

    1. Any option to prompt for email OTP during each login

    2. Any option mentioned to get email OTP to replace the password during login.

    Please guide how can this be accomplished?

    Hi @koolpal007,

    Currently, we do not offer the option to send an OTP via email for login, nor do we provide the ability to replace the email OTP with a password during the login process.

    However, we are actively developing a feature that will enable users to log in using their phone numbers and OTP. We will keep you updated on the progress and let you know once this feature becomes available.

    Sorry, I replied too quickly without reading your response mentioning Mobile / OTP.

    With the recent changes in Google firebase pricing most store owners are finding SMS pricing very expensive and are looking for alternatives.

    Your current plugin seemed promising which is why I was requesting if it could cover login via email OTP as well.

    Please do consider this within your team as well.
