Request timeout error in backend

    Hi,

    I have a problem with Woocommerce where I get a request timeout error when navigating through products or the logs in the backend, for example. The frontend webshop works, but I cannot adjust products, among other things. I have tried deactivating several plugins but to no avail.
    Woocommerce log indicates the following:

    I just found out that the problem doesn’t occur when I change the PHP version to 7.4. When I reset the version to 8.0 or higher, the problem is back.

    Is there a bug in Woocommerce in combination with php 8.x?

    Hi @sibokker

    WooCommerce is compatible with PHP 7.4 to 8.2.1. However, it’s possible that some of your plugins or themes may not be fully compatible with PHP 8.0 or higher. Detail information can be found here: https://woo.com/document/server-requirements/

    As a workaround, you can continue using PHP 7.4 if it’s solving the issue.

    However, have you tried disabling all other plugins except WoooCommerce and temporarily switching to a default theme like Storefront? After doing that, did you upgrade your PHP to 8.0 or 8.1 to see if the error reoccurs? This way, you can identify which plugin is creating this error.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I have changed the php version to 8.2 and deactivated all plugins except Woocommmerce + changed the theme to Twenty Twenty-Three. Unforfunatly the time out issue still occurs when navigating through the Woocommerce backend…

    Also, sometimes, browser cache or cookies might interfere with the backend functionality. Can you try accessing the backend using a different browser or clearing the cache/cookies in your current browser to see if that resolves the issue?

    Additionally, enabling WP Debug mode may be helpful in capturing detailed error messages when the timeout occurs. Enabling WP Debug mode and checking error logs might capture any specific database-related errors or warnings that could hint at resource-intensive queries.
